When used in bulk liquid form, low surface tension, nonflammability and constant composition during boiling make this product highly suitable for immersion and vapor degreasing equipment. A nonflammable, heavy duty solvent flux remover ideally suited for ionic salts and flux residues from electronic assemblies. Can also be used for precision and general industrial cleaning where enhanced solvency is required to remove heavy soils, such as mineral oil, vacuum fluids, wax and heavy grease. Vertrel® SMT is an azeotrope-like blend of Vertrel® XF with trans-1,2-dichloroethylene and methanol.
